How to treat rashes naturally

Natural remedies for treating and curing skin rashes

What are skin rashes?
Skin rashes are quite a common, yet really uncomfortable outbreak of red bumps on the skin that changes the texture and look. Skin rash may be a result of various causes and conditions such as allergy or infections.

Allergic rashes are placed in 2 separate categories: dermal allergic rashes and systemic allergic rashes. A dermal allergy is the result of skin coming into direct contact with a so-called allergen. A systemic allergy is caused by digesting something you are allergic to. Systemic allergies can be more serious and difficult to diagnose and cure. In the case of food allergies, most common offenders are eggs, milk, seafood, soy, wheat, and nuts.

A skin rash can be local or quite widespread. Skin rash sometimes itches, tingles, burns, cause mild or severe pain, it can swell, or blister. Some rashes go away all by themselves whenever the related allergen is addressed, other  skin rashes require separate treatment. Other specific causes of skin rashes include rapid temperature change, sensitivity to certain drugs, pollen, dust, smoke, soap products, perfumes, lotions, or rubber.

Effective remedies for treating skin rashes

By washing the affected skin with chamomile tea, rashes may disappear slowly. This usually takes one to several days. Applying olive oil to the rashed skin may also make the rash go away, or at least make it less. A mixed blend of cod liver oil and vitamin E is also very effective in eliminating rashes.

If you grind holy basil leaves, together with a tablespoon olive oil, two garlic cloves, a pinch of salt and pepper, and smear it over the rash it may also deliver good results. Taking an oatmeal bath is one of the best skin rash treatments. Just pour one cup of uncooked oatmeal into the bathwater and soak in this solution. Another extremely effective skin rash treatment is to apply mashed almond leaves to the affected area.
